About Stage Alchemy Theatre Club

Where Creativity Takes Centre Stage.

Stage Alchemy Theatre Club is a welcoming, inclusive creative arts club for young people aged 8–18, based at The Glebe Centre, Murton. We specialise in the exciting world behind the scenes, giving children and teenagers the opportunity to explore scenic arts, set design, prop making, costume design and creative storytelling through hands-on theatre projects.

Our weekly workshops encourage young people to develop practical skills, build confidence, express their creativity and work collaboratively in a supportive environment. Every term follows an exciting new theme inspired by theatre, literature, history or popular culture, allowing participants to design imaginative sets, create unique props, develop costume concepts and bring theatrical worlds to life.

Stage Alchemy is open to all abilities, and no previous experience is required. We believe every young person deserves access to high-quality creative opportunities where they can learn new skills, make friends and discover talents they may never have realised they had.

As a community-focused organisation, we are committed to making the arts accessible and inspiring the next generation of designers, makers and creative thinkers. Through affordable workshops, family showcases, and community engagement, Stage Alchemy aims to create a space where imagination flourishes, confidence grows, and every young person has the opportunity to shine.
